Under ₦25,000 Startup Cost Planner

Protect a small budget by funding evidence before appearance.

01

Set a protected spending ceiling

Write the amount available up to ₦25,000, then subtract money needed for food, transport, school, household bills, emergencies or existing commitments. The remainder—not the full amount in your account—is the test budget. Do not borrow simply to reach the ceiling. Record the date and purpose of every expense so small transfers, delivery fees and data purchases do not disappear from the plan.

02

Fund one test transaction

Describe one customer, one offer and the smallest number of orders that can produce useful evidence. List only what is required to deliver that test safely: confirmed-order materials, packaging, data, transport or a necessary tool. Separate these from attractive extras such as a logo, large stock, premium subscription or branded clothing. Ask whether the first customer could still receive the agreed result if each extra were postponed.

03

Keep a reserve and spending rules

Divide the test budget into delivery costs, customer access and a reserve of at least one sensible portion for corrections or a second round. Set rules: no purchase without a written purpose, no restocking before reviewing sales and no upgrade funded from money required to complete current orders. Compare suppliers using total cost, including transport and minimum quantities. A cheap bulk price is not useful if most stock remains unsold.

04

Complete the planned-versus-actual review

After the test, write planned cost, actual cost, revenue received, unsold materials and time used. Calculate what remains after direct costs rather than treating all sales money as profit. Note which expense helped delivery and which added little. Continue only when customers take meaningful action and the process is affordable. Adjust or pause when demand, price or delivery effort does not support another round.
